Seda Oturan is the founder and designer of the 25th Hour Lingerie brand. She started specializing in lingerie design 11 years ago as a fashion designer. Seda has worked with many famous brands in the lingerie industry and has become a professional lingerie designer and production expert over time. Seda Oturan’s curious nature sparked her interest in the history of lingerie, and inspired by this history, she decided to combine lingerie design with art and history. In 2021, she provided lingerie design training at Vakko Esmod Fashion Academy, and today she continues to share her experience with independent lingerie enthusiasts on her own platform.

3- Is the training suitable for different levels and skill sets? Are there Beginner to Advanced Levels?

The online education platform consists of three categories, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and offers training suitable for each level. You can choose the class that suits your education level; it’s important to be honest with yourself here because each class covers specific topics, and the instructor assumes you have knowledge of certain subjects and delivers the lesson to you. It’s crucial to choose the class that matches your level to avoid falling behind. The levels of the classes are as follows:

The training will consist of a total of 3 parts, and each part will include 24 hours of intensive training. From a design perspective, lingerie and swimsuit design are developed within a similar framework, although there are differences between them, especially in certain aspects such as fabric selection, materials, and accessories. This course does not focus on bra model pattern drafting. During the training process, draping techniques and bra pattern drafting will be demonstrated; however, pattern making is a separate section, and this course is entirely design-oriented. 12- Are we only able to take online classes?

Yes, the course is only offered online. This choice is made, especially for its flexibility in accommodating your own pace and schedule, and due to the increasing integration of technology into our daily lives after the pandemic. 17- My collections are ready, but I’m struggling to find manufacturers. Will you assist me during the production stage?

Those who have successfully completed the Intermediate (2nd level) and Advanced (3rd level) classes and have created collections, especially those who are competent in materials and terminology, have made plans, and defined their strategies, will be provided with guidance on suppliers, workshops, and manufacturers, both domestically and internationally.

18- Will we create something on the sewing machine? Will we take a sewing course?

Online courses are primarily design and history-oriented. These courses do not focus on technical subjects like lingerie sewing or pattern cutting. Instead, they center entirely on the design process and blend lingerie design with art and history.
